This is what’s being lost in the argument. We can only make an argument for prisoners not voting if we have a somewhat responsible justice system. And we’re nowhere near that.

This will ensure equality and equity and a fair criminal justice system. Otherwise we have the Clintons using prison slave labor at the Governor's mansion and Kamala Harris supporting prison slave labor to fight wildfires!

It is a radical idea. We aren’t 30 other countries. We have rules and one is when you commit an act that puts you in prison you forfeit certain rights and privileges. Period.

Other punishments, such as exile, are not available in US courts. Disenfranchisement should not be a permissible sanction for anyone.
