Using a CND & US 2018 tax calculators w/ my salary, here I pay 23.41% ($14,645) in income taxes, I then used ME (right across the border), and there, I would pay 18.94% ($12,355.35). A diff of $2300/yr. Not a huge diff. & I don't have to pay ins fees, co-pays or deductibles.

(2/2) We also make Dr. appoint when we need them, and don't give it a second thought. Our household has had MRIs, x-rays, biopsies, ultrasounds, 2 babies, emerg room visits, vaccinations, surgeries, mental health support. All we were required to do is show our Medicare card.
-
how much do you wait again?
-
I had an ultrasound, 2 mammograms, 4 biopsies and an MRI to rule out cancer all within 3 weeks of a suspicious exam. Emergent or life threatening is handled immediately. And that is just one ex. No pol. party in
would even dream of running on a platform to cancel Medicare. -
Sadly this isnt the case for the majority...
-
I can say that neither myself nor any of my extended family have ever had an issue receiving care for any emergent or life threatening issues here in our little “have-not” province.

Yes, it is.

No, it is not

Taking from someone who has more than you, at gunpoint, to pay for something you want is immoral, even if you vote for it. Saying that it is not immoral is radical.

"Everyone else is doing it" is not a valid reason to do anything. We literally teach this to toddlers.

Show us please world rankings of health care systems where the USA is listed near the top. We'll be waiting. Forever. Nobody is declaring medical bankruptcy in Canada, Germany, UK or Denmark. So about your logic there...
-
What does that have to do with the inherent immorality of taking from others because you want something you can't afford? You're not making a single valid argument for medicare for all, just appeals to emotion.
-
This is just such a dumb statement. Are you claiming that all taxes and all public services are immoral? You don't want any of it? No border protection. No food inspection. No pharma standards, no roads? Or is it just healthcare to which you object?

Bernie if it wasn't for all your hard work we wouldn't be here today closer than we have been in decades in getting everyone the insurance they need and deserve. We are blessed to have you Bernie.
-
What Bernie seems to forget to tell you that we are all going to pay for his free stuff nothing is free in this world but the Socialist thinks itis! Why does it Bernie go back to Burlington Vermont and try toget his wife out of her fraud charges that the FBI's been investigating
-
Bernie ain't ever said it wouldn't be funded with taxes quite the opposite. Its very telling you fascist scum keep yammering on and on about Jane's alleged fraud and nothing has happened even after your fascist leader got elected

-
They are sinking now that a majority of Republicans want single payer. The tide has shifted and people are waking up to reality that our health care systems sucks more ass than a Dyson. It isn't 1992 any longer.
-
I think a lot of it is because the contradictions of capitalism are becoming so damn obvious and its inability to provide for people as they need is undeniable now.
-
You're correct. In countries like Holland, France, Sweden, things like the homeless population are almost nothing compared to the United States and it is because they have an entrenched social safety net
