You are pushing Medicare for all and then pushing open borders. Americans don't want to support the entire world.
-
Bob, Who is pushing for open borders? Many are pushing for immigration reform. This wouldn't even be an issue if businesses hiring undocumented immigrants were prosecuted, but businesses give a lot of money to politicians in both sides, so laws are not universally enforced.
-
Laws being selectively enforced is the problem. It's Democrats wanting open borders. If not why hasn't a single Democrat spoke against this caravan invasion.
-
Do you honestly expect the corporate media to even ask them before a mid-term? No they instead to down there, taking pictures of any women and children in strollers they can find while trying to keep the Honduran flags out of the shot.
-
I feel really bad for the people who are so destitute that they believe this is their only option. O wish Trump could realize that cutting off aid will only make things worse.
-
Confirmation of where the foreign aid goes would be a huge first step. Yasir Arafat dies with 100 million Palestinian aid dollars in his bank account.

Why is it you don’t mention the immigration problem as often as you mention free health insurance to all?

-
Probably because it makes sense to focus on the actual problems we face.
-
sooo we are just going to pretend it’s not a problem.
right. -
Not as big a problem as people are making it out to be. There's much bigger fish to fry. But if you are going to focus on people merely seeking a better life while escaping a shitty life that in part was created by USA's involvement on foreign affairs, then you do you.
-
Some will argue that health insurance isn’t as big as a problem that some make it out to be. Soo... Also, How long are you going to put blame on USA involvement in foreign affairs but still want us to be involved on foreign affairs?
-
The first step in fixing the problems is admitting the sins of the past, and trying to right those wrongs. Can't get mad at people from Honduras for leaving when you helped damage their country in the first place.
-
And your method of fixing the “wrongs” is by allowing Hondurans to leave their country and come here? Yeah, that helps their country and those that remain there, but please continue...

I'll take Venezuela for $200.
-
I'll take Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and every other developed country on the planet, for $1000.
-
Nice choice of countries for you to choose from - you're free to pick one and move there. In the meantime, I'll take freedom and liberty and my government pissing off and not making any more choices about my healthcare. The fewer people between me and my doctor, the better.
-
I do live in Canada. Funny how you don't seem to mind insurance companies, whose role is to take as much money as they can while paying for as little care as they can, between you and your doctor.
-
I'm not defending insurance companies. I just refuse to sink to your level of cognitive dissonance to believe that a US Government Solution from people who've spent a lifetime redistributing wealth by confiscating property and liberty will make it better.
-
The only cognitive dissonance on display here is you refusing to recognize the majority of the industrialized world offers universal healthcare, has lower healthcare costs, better outcomes, and better patient satisfaction.
