"We can make the US great! Like Venezuela great! Really great. Free everything!"

I like how people always use Venezuela as a prove that socialism dosen't work but ignore the fact that Venezuela is the only socialist country in Latin American, Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras are all capitalist country and are not any better than Venezuela, I'll tell you that much
-
People use it because it was once very prosperous before it became socialist
-
Two things happened that put it down from what it once was. Their biggest export lost half its value in the economy. And their leader that everyone loved, sorta died.
-
Actually when you cut ties with the world largest economy aka the United States and go to China and Russia and do way too much government funded spending thats how. All that happened long before crude oil tanked
-
But you admit our economy is a mixed economy, and that there's already socialistic systems instituted?
-
Venezuela still has private industry so...
-
So.. what are you arguing? We're a mixed economy already e.g. police, firemen, school, roads, *social* security, welfare, food stamps.. and hey! We aren't drowning in hyperinflation!

I've had serious health challenges in both Canada and the US. The biggest difference is the added level of stress created by all the billing issues, even with insurance, here in the US. Stress creates poor health. I can't imagine trying to raise children with that added stress.
-
It's a constant thing when you're fighting cancer. Every few days, there's another bill, for $22.39, or $56.42, or even $1.67. Leftover pennies that insurance didn't cover. The stress of keeping track of all these little bills is killing me faster than the cancer.
-
I 100% get this. I have stage 4 cancer, but am able to live a "normal" life w $20,000 a month treatments. Couldnt keep my job bc too many dr appts i literally need to live. I have a PhD and worked hard all my life but will be in complete poverty and pain rest of my life

Real freedom "must" not include anything if someone else earned it for you. It is a constant struggle against parasites who claim what individuals have made. Real freedom is nothing more than an opportunity to fight for more freedom. You own three houses. But go on.
-
None of the preamble made any sense, but it seems economics is not your strong suit. You fancy yourself a decorated veteran. Someone else (like me) paid for the war toys and even your ornaments. Many someones. I recommend Payne’s Agrarian Justice. K bruh
-
I "fancy" myself as nothing more than a citizen who volunteered. A tax paying citizen who also paid for "war toys." I don't have patience for con men who lecture a mob about what government "freedoms" should include. There's no economics involved. Maybe it's not your strong suit.

Right wing radio guys read off the libertarian script but who ultimately benefits in the “greed is good” liberty lounge? Sanders is an old FDR Democrat and he made it a helluva lot harder for thieves to go after Social Security. Time will tell. Economist btw.
-
Bernie bots read from a failing song sheet that fails to recognize that capitalism has created more human prosperity than any force in history. Only immoral economists ignore this measurable fact. And psychopaths who want to reshape Venezuela.
-
One might argue the enlightenment, which is our foundation. The Ayn Rand long shower of adolescence, where greed is good, is a tool of oligarchy. Pinochet. Hey, Ollie North was a radio guy too. Is he at NRA now? Kinda quiet.

Down goes Bryan...
