If you think wealth is the issue Bernie feel free to give your money away.

The issue isn’t wealth itself. It’s lack of compassion for those frustrated over systemic barriers preventing them from reaching their fullest potential, even if it means simply not living on a sidewalk. Extreme wealth inequality is a symptom of our society’s moral failures.
-
Regardless of the feelings Socialism isn’t the answer. There are not very successful socialist countries out there
-
Taking about “socialism” is a distraction. No one is advocating for complete state ownership of the means of production. Sowing fear of this fantasy is intended to rally support for private ownership of everything except the military. that would be a disaster for human rights.
-
Bernie and others are wanting redistribution of wealth and younger people are all into this because it’s a “me” society. Why? Because this is the “everyone gets a trophy” generation.
-
It’s those with unlimited resources and power beyond any government who are the center of the “me” society & are using their clout in ways that perpetuate dire poverty and trap regular people in cycles they can’t escape no matter their effort. Do not defend human rights abusers!

You've been in Congress for 30yrs. You're a millionaire after pub'ing two books about 2016. You own 3 houses. You've passed no legislation to create income equality. The U.S. is actually 5th wealthiest country. We want economic equity. Do more than tweet.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/richest-countries-world-163457310.html …
-
Three homes but the third is one they bought after selling his wife’s family’s vacation home. How are the taxes there? The other is in D.C. where he works. I know congressmen who don’t have a lot of money and still own a home in their district and one in or near D.C.

Congratulations on missing the entire point.

How did America get so wealthy? Hint: it wasn't socialism.
-
Your right, it wasn’t socialism. It was colonialism, slavery, extraction of other people’s natural resources, a foreign policy based on bullying basically everyone, and complete disregard for the planet.
-
Hey genius, we didn’t have slavery during the industrial revolution, we paid other people for the right to extract their natural resources, we saved the world in WW2, AND lead the way in becoming a more sustainable DEVELOPED WORLD POWER. Every other country is put to shame.
-
You should probably google “settler colonialism” and watch Ava DuVarney’s “13th” before you write a post like this
-
I don’t need to google how America was founded. Learned that in 1st grade lmao. I guess you despise the way this country was founded but enjoy the fruits of it’s so-called shameful past. Pack your bags and move, defeatist. PS nice gambit with the prison system tangent
-
Settler colonialism isn’t about the US’ founding, it’s about the violent westward expansion that took place over the following 100 years. And “13th” reveals how following the repeal of slavery, mass incarceration of blacks and poor whites created a new kind of slave labor force.
-
America did not invent slavery, we imported it and then abolished it. With no help from the KKK Democrats, who also, btw, filibustered the Civil Rights Act. You need to catch up on your history and quit being stuck in the colonialism era. We've come far since then. Be PROUD of it

From which one of your three houses did you Tweet this? I'm picturing the $600k lake house on the island, since it's lake season up north.

That's less then one golf outing for Trump. For a man who has worked hard for his state, I think his constituents would say he's earned it. I don't want a dam dime of my tax dollars going to Trump's country clubs.

Bernie has never held a job in the private sector...ever. In the 70’s he was asked to leave a commune because he refused to work to support it. He’s no hero. He’s a lazy grifter.
