Still working for Trump, I see. Keep portraying Democrats as the bad guys, Bernie. Let me know how that works out for innocent immigrant children at the border.

This is a shiteous take. He just congratulated the Latina that won and wants to abolish ICE over the establishment CorpDem who voted to create ICE. What is wrong with you?

He did. He also voted yes to authorize the War on Terror. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2001/roll342.xml … Can we stop legislating the past, and focus on now? Can we repeal Public Law 107-40 (the war on terror) and repeal PUBLIC LAW 107–296 (DHS/ICE) & stop all trying to dunk on each other for 1 night?

Okay, my principle is just asking if everyone can stop trying to dunk on each other for just one night? and an ask that people support the of repeal Public Law 107-40 (the war on terror) and repeal PUBLIC LAW 107–296 (DHS/ICE)

Now, how about, Bernie, instead of pushing your "us vs. them" agenda between progressives & "establishment" Democrats (which IS the majority of the party), you actually try to unite and coalesce ALL Dems of every stripe, leaning, or inclination. THAT is how we win.
-
She literally just showed you that you win by dismantling the “establishment”...in other words, if democrats want to win, they need to fight for, and offer to, the poor and working class. Continuing to take money from places that Crowley did is exactly how you keep losing seats
-
She won in
#NY14. Kudos to her. But there are 434 other congressional districts. The same platform won't win in each district, and in many districts the general will be competitive. I don't think we should draw any universal conclusions about campaign strategy from one election. -
Very true, no argument there, but I would argue that on a national level, if democrats care about the 20-25% of citizens who never vote, and are disproportionately poor, and care to court them to make them voters, they need to nationalize ocasio’s platform
-
Agree. I've been hollering that ALL Dems need more effective outreach to newer/disenfranchised voters to get them civically aware & responsible, educated about registration rules & deadlines, mail-in ballots, etc. But I also agree w/
@mlmillerphd that MANY strategies are needed. -
Well I think one thing has been clear, at least in more urban, blue districts...if you want outreach, civic engagement, voter mobility...you need the youth. The dem party has to shift left to where the youth is if they want more effective ground games, regardless of district
-
I agree. Watching the Parkland students unite and create their coalition should be inspiration for us all. They're in it together without a lot (or any) labels or finger-pointing. Just a clear vision forward to get the job done. Let's follow their lead.
-
Agree whole heartedly...leading by principle and not concern for electoral outcomes, I believe, would be more effective for not only an overall party strategy, but also for America as a whole to begin to regain a little of its moral clarity
