Today, people buying groceries in a predominantly Black community were shot by a White man who believes the hate-filled propaganda that there’s a movement to replace White people. White Supremacist Ideology + Hate + Irresponsible Fear Mongering + Guns = 10 people dead.

  3. For some, a slap at the Oscars is easier to condemn and to which to reply “I don’t condone violence” than the search for and slaughter of Black people by an avowed white supremacist. Because “I don’t condone white supremacy” is both a mirror and a magnifying glass.

  4. In legislation and legislators. In media. In platforms that indoctrinate to the hate-filled, power hungry ideology. In every area where racism persists and is perpetuated. So choosing love isn’t a passive choice. Love drives out hate, meets needs + dismantles injustice.

  5. Of course, I believe “Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” I also believe that much of the hate simmering across the world is fueled by racism and white supremacist ideology. We have to drive out hate with love, yes. We have to condemn and eradicate racism, too.

Remembering Brother Malcolm on his 97th birthday. Read 'The Autobiography of Malcolm X.' History books don't tell his story. And media and government painted the picture that they wanted us to see.

As long as we push “stop hate crimes,” instead of/without “eradicate white supremacy and racism,” we aren’t dealing with the real issue. We’ll get more of the same. And that’s tragic.

May 17, 1954, the day the decision in Brown vs. Board of Education was issued, marks a defining moment in the history of the United States. The Supreme Court declared the doctrine of “separate but equal” unconstitutional.
