Yes. His apology is not enough. It isn’t just him (and other men who behave like this - although of course they are the major element) but those around them who allow the behaviour to happen or don’t say that it isn’t okay. This isn’t pointing fingers, this is a societal thing.

I’m struck by how may different strategies women have to use to safely disengage/diffuse situations where a man is assaulting them for fear of reprisals or escalating behaviour.

Young/men are not educated adequately as society has built a culture to protect transgressions, which is spiritually lazy & destroys lives. Glad to shake off more of my learned toxicity, but always shocked at how embedded it is.
