If you opt out, at least carry with you copies of your paper records, or cd or USB. You can deidentify if you wish, but give your clinicians a chance to know your medical history, allergies, current drugs etc. They really are on your side.

I don’t agree Bernard. Having experienced being a parent in a hospital far flung from where my kids’ records are kept, I’d rather drs know.
