Really? Seems they aren’t fussy who they give awards to. What a slap in the face. He needs to be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Send him to jail. Set an example.

Man up BK if you want to be a real farm reporter - at least use pictures of sheep when trying to cover sheep stories

We are judged by the way we treat our animals - cruelty to animals should incurr a long jail sentence for each and every director or owner of a business - no negotiable!

I have never understood the ‘live export’ trade. Not only is the transportation process horrendously cruel & wasteful, but delivery is arguably worse. Plus we lose on all the value-add and extra jobs along the way. Utter MADNESS

Yes, and contrary to Littleprouds claims, farmers don’t give a rats ring about their animals once they leave the farm gate, if they did it would stop. If their livelihood depends on this hideous trade they need a new business model

It's not just the transport. It's also what happens to the animal when they arrive. It's a national disgrace!

Interesting you choose to highlight the plight of livestock instead of say ... Homeless Refugees Mentally ill Chronically Unemployed. Etc But hey as long as it feels good complain about livestock

It is possible to care about many things at the same time. You are whatabouting, which is a common derailing technique. What are YOU doing about any of the concerns you have raised, apart from opportunistically using them to deflect debate away from

The Greens go where others fear to tread. Lee Rhiannon tried to introduce a bill to ban live exports last year, supported by meatworker union officials and a whistleblower vet.http://greens.org.au/live-export
