So @TurnbullMalcolm is signing us up to a new "security agreement" with Trump? TPP negotiated in secret, TPP Minus US negotiated in secret, now a hastily prepared military deal done in secret.https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/972242845636669440 …

Spoke to PM @TurnbullMalcolm of Australia. He is committed to having a very fair and reciprocal military and trade relationship. Working very quickly on a security agreement so we don’t have to impose steel or aluminum tariffs on our ally, the great nation of Australia!

If we needed to have a survey for SSM coz you were too spineless to make the decision, then why make secret deals with the US without asking the people of Australia? #FoffTurnbull LNP=LiesNotPolicy #auspol

As the case with Coalition Agreement. A PM who loves secrecy. Sees it as means to stay in power whatever the cost to the rest of us. #auspol

Steel deal reliant upon a "security agreement. Sounds like we might be giving a lot more than we get.

It’s interesting isn’t it - there were no tariffs - if US asked us for a better military deal, we’d be negotiating from a stronger position, but now it’s basically a response to a threat Do this or we’ll slap tariffs on you... okay then...

Mal obviously used Pine Gap as a bargaining chip and now they are playing out the politics to make Mal look good. Throw in a dash of Greg Norman to make it look real matey.

Mal wouldn't have the intelligence to use pine gap this will be something more he's given away. It's not for the steel it's about his personal & political ego.

what happened to the ANZUS Treaty? Security agreement being kept secret by LIB Govt. Obviously it not really good for Australia and its citizens and must be kept secret like they are doing with the TPP #auspol
