The Dead Zone.

Walken very good but undone by a weak Zerbe and surprisingly hammy Sheen. "God's been a real sport to me!" a great line though

only the ending. the rest is thin gruel.
-
Gruel? I say delicious wholegrains. But yeah that ending is incredible.
-
yes, best ending evah, still creeps me out
-
The director Frank Darabont was offered twice the budget if he agreed to change the ending. Glad he didn't.

You’re forgetting The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and Stand By Me.
-
Shawshank Redemption is amazing but I don't think it's an amazing adaptation. Darabont brought so much feels like something else.
-
That’s a fair point, it’s more of an interpretation than a direct adaptation.

Not a Shawshank fan? Carrie? Stand By Me?

What about Pet Sematary? Definitely made the most of the $100 special effects budget.
-
The cat was amazing

Well The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favourites. Also, Misery, The Stand & I liked Secret Window.
