Living longer is a lot less fun with a chronic disease. I won't live as long as my parents.

2 in 3 adults are overweight/obese in Oz. Most of that down to what we eat. We do need to change. Cost to healthcare r huge
-
So why are we living longer, living healthier and Medicare costs rising more slowly than other programs?
-
We are not living healthier. Chronic disease rates eg diabetes heart disease on the rise both related to weight.
-
The AIHW disagrees - strong evidence we're living healthierhttps://www.crikey.com.au/2016/06/09/aihw-study-reveals-australians-healthier-than-we-think/ …
-
Problem with that is data is a moving feast. Only analyses data to 2011. Overweight and obesity on upward trajectory year in year out.
-
oh come on do you accept peer-reviewed data or not? where's your data for post-2011 then?
-
No need for tone. Always use evidence to inform my opinion. Google can help you find plenty Bernard. Getting back to my life now.
-
right. the hard evidence isn't convenient so you've bolted. fair enough.

There are many issues around our diet though. If you ever develop a chronic illness you may rethink. I certainly have had to.
