.@NathanLee I welcome your evidence that I'm somehow in league with Big Sugar or Big Anything. Want to back up your smear with evidence?
If you perhaps dialled down the over the top attack mode on someone attempting rational discussion..
.@NathanLee mate you smeared me and haven't come up with a skerrick of evidence to back it up - and now you demand I "dial it down"?
here's original smear you made about me being part of some "taxpayer funded industry" because I dared disagree. What industry?pic.twitter.com/ocjnDCZuVq
.@NathanLee still waiting for you to produce evidence that I'm linked to the soft drink industry. got any?
Bernard, you are the only one making claims about someone being from an industry. I said "lines" = no claim of conspiracy.
so, smear but no evidence. Uh huh.

That's Mexico – here, poorer people are more obese – higher price = lower consumption, like tobacco
If there isn't a proportional reduction in consumption greater than the increase in price, all you're doing is taxing the poor.
@BernardKeane According to what health economics model? The famous Phelps model?
So if you had a 50% increase in the price of Coke, and it led to a 10% reduction in lowest decile consumption, that'd be Ok?
I'm pretty sure their line is: "Drink more soft drinks!"
Time for the Ovaltine
FYI here's an example of "soft drink industry lines" if you think a line of arguing on behalf of the poor was not same as thempic.twitter.com/cewkQZiEnK
