    Anyone reporting the census is back online, might be appropriate to note also ABS is blocking anyone exercising their right to use a VPN.

        You can't complain they didn't geoblock then complain they don't let you use a VPN routed through a different country..

        .@ahaak actually I recall specifically criticising their geoblocking when it was revealed yesterday morning.

        Fair play, a lot of people said the opposite. Geoblocking is the easiest way to prevent further DDoS attacks, though.

        assuming 1. It was a 'real' DDOS and not just underpowered system and 2. The DDOS originated outside Aus

        It might be accidental. A VPN reduces your IP MTU - to allow for the VPN header. Fixed by ICMP. Now block ICMP cause DDoS!

        Nah, they’re using Nextgen’s geoblock. Means my Sydney office can’t see it ‘cos Nextgen thinks it’s in Tokyo. @BernardKeane
