@BernardKeane So many issues. Sexual harassment, advancement opportunities, belittled for family choices, blatantly ignored!

@girlgerms Thanks. If you want to give some more detail to the extent you're comfortable, drop me a line. But problems sound familiar... -
@BernardKeane More detail? Here - read these: http://girl-germs.com/?p=539 &http://girl-germs.com/?p=745 -
@girlgerms am reading. wow. thank you. -
@BernardKeane You're very welcome. Anything that sheds light on this. My only issue is, I can't name the employer. -
@girlgerms yep and I understand that's a problem for a lot of people. have to accept there'll be a lot of references to "unnamed company". -
@BernardKeane Also happy to chat to you about my last 11 years - I've had both good and bad, so can offer two sides. -
@girlgerms thanks - I'll follow up with you once I've gone through what I've got - already got some good responses

@BernardKeane Not yet, but I hope to do so next year, or possibly sooner. Not that that's much help to you. -
@warbird thanks - best of luck to you! -
@BernardKeane I can say there are many more males than females in my class. R u also asking non-tech women y they didn't go into tech? -
@warbird the supply side issue has had a lot more research and there are govt efforts underway to address it - it's a crucial issue too

@BernardKeane@kellyyyllek I used to work at a small design/development firm. I was the only woman for most of my time there. -
@ceriks_@kellyyyllek was that a negative professionally or did you not mind? -
@BernardKeane@kellyyyllek I didn’t mind at first, until I realised there was something nasty going on and there was no one to support me. -
@ceriks_@kellyyyllek heard a lot of that - lack of other women makes dealing with harassment or even plain ordinary day-to-day stuff harder -
@BernardKeane@kellyyyllek Yep! Like spending never so slightly longer in the bathroom for a week a month, or becoming the PA etc.
