The BBC's War & Peace really is excellent. But I can't help yelling "I DRINK your MILKSHAKE!" at the screen whenever Paul Dano is on.
@MikeCarlton01 I gave up on that halfway through because, however good Dano was, the normally excellent John Cusack was rotten

@BernardKeane ..the movie was saved by Paul Giamatti as the psycho psychiatrist.. -
@MikeCarlton01 true. Giamatti is a kind of magic additive to any film. I still marvel at what he did in Shoot 'Em Up.

@BernardKeane@MikeCarlton01 The Dano/Cusack divide was canyon-like. I managed to cross...just. -
@JosephArmand1@MikeCarlton01 the fact that neither looked even vaguely like Wilson was also a problem -
@BernardKeane@JosephArmand1 Dano did a bit. Cusack looked like Duane Eddy (guess u had to be there) -
@MikeCarlton01@BernardKeane The Cusack casting probably resulted in the movie being made. Odd...but surmountable if the will be there.
