@BernardKeane All of the members of USTR's advisory committees, including labour groups, had access to the text:http://www.politico.com/tipsheets/morning-trade/2015/07/ustr-clears-advisers-to-read-tpp-draft-reuters-us-upgrades-malaysias-human-trafficking-status-eu-parliament-backs-isds-compromise-212543 … -
@ConnellyAL weird that you're ignoring the evidence that corporations got to draft the text. why? -
@BernardKeane Pretty common in US system for industry, labor, and other (e.g. environmental) groups to recommend provisions to negotiators. -
@BernardKeane For example, AFL-CIO and other labour groups did same: https://web.archive.org/web/20121006234631/http://foreignaffairs.house.gov/112/HHRG-112-FA18-WState-DrakeC-20120517.pdf …pic.twitter.com/pOj25ULBs6

@BernardKeane We don't have text of final agreement yet, so remains to be seen how much of any suggested text ended up in final document. -
@BernardKeane In any case, if reports on biotech are correct, whatever they suggested to USTR definitely isn't in final text. -
@BernardKeane If it turns out other chapters strongly reflect American industry groups' preferences, I will be happy to concede the point.
