It doesn't pay to have a brain on Twitter and use it. The great unwashed want you to subscribe to the platform of their favourite political party, and otherwise lobotomise yourself.

US journalist Glenn Greenwald (of Edward Snowden fame) visited Sydney last year and he said he supports the right of his ideological adversaries to have their opinions aired in public. I tend to agree with him.

If you're talking about Bannon, in which universe is it that his opinions have been in any sense ever been suppressed and hence hidden? Journos pushback here is a protest at the idea of not having opportunities for journos to draw attention to themselves.

Well I'd never read anything by Bannon before seeing the ABC interview. It was very valuable for me to have the exposure.

That is astonishing tbh. Also prompts the question: if you are so isolated from American politics to have *never heard* of Bannon, what was the basis of your interest in the interview?
