HSBC agrees with you Bernard. According to their recent review of disasters ‘Australia scored poorly, with the largest percentage rise in deaths attributable to climate change in the developed world.’https://www.smh.com.au/environment/climate-change/australia-one-of-the-countries-most-exposed-to-climate-change-bank-warns-20180322-p4z5n8.html …

Tony makes it sound like we have paused at some satisfactory emissions point. This isn’t the limit of the heat waves. We are still going, still emitting, so impacts (incl costs!) on our people and country will get worse and worse https://amp.postcrescent.com/amp/993930002#click=https://t.co/2k2gC8rKgp …

I was out 30 mins from Toowoomba this morning. It was a moonscape where once the fields were dark green. Sure, once in 100 year drought events happen. But how many years of this in a row before we admit the science in public discourse?

Are you trying to make a point? We’ve had fires in winter before or are you new here.
-
What 60 bushfires in winter! We get dry spells yes, but when they become more frequent we have a problem.
-
How many deliberately lit? Yep, when the land is dry it will burn. We’ve had drought before haven’t we........

I spent time in NSW in 2001 and remember a native telling me then their climate was noticeably changing, summers becoming more sub tropical and winters becoming drier.
