Abetz screams for an investigation into how Waugh’s report into Lloyd was ‘reprehensibly’ leaked, excoriates the process as a farce & lacking procedural fairness. But chronic leaking of details of my matter to the media, incl. my sacking before I was even told, draws no whisper?https://twitter.com/MarkusMannheim/status/1027124909867032576 …

Multiple leaks of confidential information over 9 months. Every single one I either had to refer to the AFP privately, or coerce/urge/cajole them to be referred by those that held the information. The inconsistency and hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Geez I dunno Roman you've been on the inside and the outside... reckon the government has different standards about leaks when they serve its agenda versus when they don't, and ignores the former while cracking down ferociously on the latter?

I’m not really one to have a self-pitying bleat, but reading the comments attributed to Abetz in
@australian incensed me. I’m seasoned in what politicians self-indulgently compliment themselves with as the ‘dark arts’, but when the inconsistency is sublime, I’m calling it.2 replies 0 retweets 5 likes
Fair enough and good on you. My concern is a broader one -- that that inconsistency (and I've been talking about it for years) undermines national security and confidence in agencies in an era when govts are punishing those who embarrass them more and more.
