Oof Kelly O'Dwyer's interview with Barrie Cassidy on ABC Insiders re banking rc must be a contender

It's a great shame that there's no vision. We'll never know if Josh managed to maintain his ever-present smirk through all of that.
-
Audio not a bad 2nd tho. Really enjoyed the sound of Frydho gulping & gagging for air about a third of the way in.

I’m not familiar with 2GB (being a Melbourne person), but I have to say that that was one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard: Direct questions and calling out Frydenberg when he refused to give a direct answer, or attempted to recast the question in his favour.
-
For conservatives, if 2GB is hammering you, you know you are in deep ordure, over half way up your snorkel.

This is click-bait. Does
@BenFordham think every question on how Governments work can be answered by a yes or no? One person doesn’t come up with an idea of this size, it involves a combination of department staff, advisors and Ministers. Ben wouldn’t let him get a word out. -
There’s a difference between a competitive tender process and a grant. Big difference. If the ANAO signs off on the process, end of story. How the Government spends it’s money shouldn’t be dictated to by a journalist, especially when it’s above board and for such a good cause.
-
It's actually OUR money. OUR employees, such as Josh Frydenberg are answerable to us. The process must be open and transparent, so we taxpayers can be reassured it is the best use of our money. No democracy behind closed doors.
-
And WE elected him to decide how to best use OUR money. Democracy is at work here. The process will be independently scrutinized by auditors like any other use of tax payer funds.
-
This government avoids transparency at every turn - which is a worry, as this episode is a clear illustration of the incompetence they prefer to keep hidden

The last Government did and the four prior... it’s called politics for a reason. Do we really think a Shorten/Albanese Government will be any better? I for one don’t...
-
There is a comprehensive set of financial rules that apply to whichever party is in government - they are there for good reasons. This 'grant' does not comply

It was an absolute train wreck. Why bother turning up if not going to answer questions at all but just use talking points?

Cos 1. he's never been held to account before 2. he's never been held to account before

Do you think we could get
@BenFordham to ask Peter Dutton where the missing 2 billion is?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Longest time I've ever listened to 2GB in one go. If that interview had been on
#730report Mitch Fifield would be on the blower and heads would be rolling.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

When you lose 2GB, you lose Sydney. This decision will haunt Fraudenberg for the rest of his career.
