A decade of climate wars have now boiled down to whether the government can lock in Tony Abbott's denialism as the foundation of energy policy for the next decadehttps://www.crikey.com.au/2018/08/02/ghost-of-abbotts-prime-ministership-threatens-to-haunt-climate-policy-for-a-decade-at-least/ …

Either way the LNP will be cornered like sewer rats in a cage...admitting they were wrong or being blown away by the indisputable scientific evidence.

Tony Abbott will be consigned to the archives as a destructive, negative politician who worked tirelessly to harm Australia’s future.

Listening to Abbott on on TWD his major beef with the NEG seems to be that it's like a 'Labor policy', and there's no way he'd vote for a Labor policy.

Every day more and more evidence of climate change and its dangerous impact on the planet - yet Abbott still comes out in support of the coal industry - the worst of it is that you can't put it down to stupidity - it's a calculated decision to advantage himself .

There hasn't been a climate war, the LNP's adherence to conspiracy theories over science has paralyzed policy debate, 'pox on both houses' is always weak analysis, but in this case it is wrong as well
