So the best part of half a billion was handed to big business pals in a private meeting with no process, no records, no public servants. This stinks. And rich indeed from @TurnbullMalcolm who demanded Rudd and Swan resign over faked Utegate allegations.https://twitter.com/KKeneally/status/1024495980467482625 …

The Prime Minister’s ‘private meeting’ with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, when he offered them $444m of public funding, was more private than first thought. It now turns out that there were no public servants present. Just Turnbull, Frydenberg & GBRF Chair Dr John Schubert. pic.twitter.com/LfDVVsvglx

Turnbull Fydenberg & Schubert need to be called to give evidence...what was discussed ? What commitment/s were made / given; what was Turnbull's role; what was Frydenberg's role ..the questions are endless

That bogus $444mill gift to mining spin dr’s masquerading as reef experts should be taken back. Cancel that cheque taxpayers. You know? I bet the % earned ($10m/year) was promised (whispered) as campaign contributions to the LNP.

Can’t cancel the cheque because the money was transferred very quickly & the GBRF couldn’t tell estimates Where the money has been deposited

Oh that’s right. GBRF took the question of where our $444m is on notice (aka I’m not telling you) The arrogance of the ruling classes. Maybe it’s hangin’ with 🎩’s Cayman distressed assets funds.

I was with an NGO in the 90’s that (with help of some salary sacrifice) managed 2 employ 8 F/time workers. Budget was $270k (fair dinkum) We had 2 account 4 every penny 2 our Gov funders. Wonder what salaries GBRF 6 employees R paid? Each more than our entire budget.

And worse, after initially denying it was the case, GBRF cans disburse the interest earned on the $443 million (Say $10m per year) to whomever they choose. You cant tell me the LNP wont benefit
