Does the Govt has something on Labor & they are being held to ransom? There has already been earlier suggestions of this & that the party was "coerced" to push through dodgy & unacceptable legislation. A hobbled opposition is not an opposition. @markdreyfusQCMP @billshortenmp

Dreyfus is well aware of the laws that exist The offence of sub judice contempt may be committed when someone says or publishes something about a matter currently before the court which runs a real risk of interfering with those proceedings.:
-
I agree, but the current silence with a number of matters (including offical misconduct that has been brought to their attention that are not sub judice) is perplexing.

I did see something from Bill Shorten criticising Turnbulls handling of this matter and charging of witness K on Twitter earlier this morning but that is all.

No, not as yet. Maybe this Government is simply leading us to a totalitarian society that is useful to both big parties.

rubbish people who cant see the difference between Labor and LNP/IPA/ONotion are of no interest to me
-
My point is that our rights, particularly to privacy and ironically enough, freedom of speech are being dwindled away, yet almost no pushback from Labor. I generally support Labor but they haven't protected or spoken up to the withering away of our rights.

not to mention
#Assange .. see no evil, hear no evil etc .. especially just before#SuperSaturday and the#ALP National Conference later this year, and factional brawling and leadership tensions .. probably never -
Those leadership tensions are a myth at the moment, to be honest.

Can't imagine any reason why the ALP wouldn't want to talk about dirty tricks and East Timorpic.twitter.com/cMuXpDGVrR

They colluded with the LNP to cover up the original crime. They're unlikely to make any noise on this matter.

FYI today in Darwin protest attended by current President ALP NT Syd Stirling (he's also former NT Government Minister not Fed) who came out blazing in both disgust of spy job on Timor and subsequent unjust prosecution of Witness K & Collaery, whom he praised.
