Fairfax brings us the single most idiotic take on #MyHealthRecord yet: people use genealogy sites so it's OK. FFS.pic.twitter.com/drdJdTVYwq

Giving DNA info to an ancestry site, is VOLUNTARY, having the gov't steal your medical information, then sell it, is NOT. No consent, and often no knowledge of this theft until it's too late. Eff Off LNP. #MyHealthRecord #auspol

In the gamble that is insurance, NIB is saying they want to be allowed to count the cards and we should be ok with that. Not on my table.

My 83yr old mother suggested I send my DNA off to join the lemmings the day the Golden State(?) rapist was found thru a genealogy site - whilst that's good, no way mum...and NIB & pals aren't getting my history so they can exclude treatment or charge more

Oh yes, I’m totally worried about someone getting access to my genes, not being robo-audited by a hostile government or having organised crime targeting my home for my prescriptions. #goodjob

They have a point in that SOME of the people who are protesting #myhealth use these DNA tests. In the same way that people who complain about privacy use @facebook!

The "ingenious" concept that exudes from those words astounds me. I didn't know that it is perfectly justified to screw someone just because they're already potentially screwed by others could pass off as a legitimate argument. Kudos to whoever wrote that eye-opening piece.
