Very arguable. Phone rep couldn’t tell me who created my record, or when, and was baffled as to why we were seeing different histories. Various providers have added to it without my knowledge/consent, and I can do nothing to stop third parties accessing it till my death +30 yrs

Hi
@GregHuntMP what course of action would you advise for someone who's had an MHR created without consent and added to by other providers also without consent? I tried to opt out and found my data already added & accessible. Phone line won't tell me who created the MHR or when. - 1 more reply

Hunt has just challenged all hackers to try & break this ‘military-grade’ system.
. I expect all our records will be publicly available by tomorrow.

There is absolutely zero chance anyone in my family or myself are staying in, no government should be trusted with this sort of centralized data in this day and age.

Wasn't the new cyber security building in cbr scoped and owned by the Chinese before it had people in it due to leaked plans? Or am I mis-remembering that?

Why the outrage? Won’t this system help make things far more efficient. It’s just health data. Seriously the world is going mad
#OptIn#HowlAtTheMoon -
It's more than health data when our police can access it. That's right.
-
What’s wrong with the police being able to access it?
-
Are you joking? I've never sought medical treatment from a police officer.
-
Ok, well god help you if you are ever in a serious road crash and they are the first there and you need something that’s not obvious ... I just don’t get the fake outrage? It’s not the nuclear codes.

Grow up. Police don't treat people, that's why ambulances are called. When the last shred of your privacy has been destroyed, you might understand but I doubt it.

But that nice Mr Hunt has told us its all safe so we have to take his word for it. Don't we?

Perhaps asking the Mayor of Katherine what his word is worth will help define the level of professionalism that will be administered?

I believe it was widely recommended for some time that this should be an opt in, not opt out system. What changed?

People wised up to what a pack of incompetent fascists being in government might mean

No on-line web connected system is absolutely unable to be hacked and as to insurers and the like not having access, they employ either directly or indirectly people who have legitimate access. No brainer.
