"We have pledged a 26 to 28 per cent cut by 2030. Unlike some other countries which make these pledges and don't deliver, Australia does deliver when we make a pledge." T. Abbott, 10/09/2015.https://twitter.com/TonyAbbottMHR/status/1014072725671854080 …

Now the USA has the sad, uncomfortable position of looking to others to carry the banner of LEADERSHIP, INTELLIGENCE & HOPE to do FOR the planet FOR the survival of its peoples. We know how HORRID it is to hear a political leader backslide/renege on a prior commitment. GOOD LUCK!

Is there a need to pull out of paris accord because an unattainable target was pledged? Simply change the target (which is set by the member themselves). There are no fines, or penalties (other than to the planet) associated with the accord as far as I am aware.

I’m far from an Abbott supporter but politicians highlighting other politicians not keeping there word is like the sun complaining it’s hot. Just google [name] backflips, breaks promise, or similar, you all do it.
