The apathy is appalling

Is it apathy though? I would have loved to have gotten into this story this week. Unfortunately I lacked the 25th hour in the day.
-
Maybe prioritise this overreach by government instead of click bait about ALP leadership. What is more important for public awareness.
-
Last week, I wrote 18 news/analysis pieces, several posts for the live blog, and recorded a podcast about changing attitudes to climate change in the bush. I regard all the work I did last week as core to informing our readership. We also covered this story.
-
It's easy to say prioritise this thing or that thing. It is harder to do when your audience has different interests and priorities. We covered this story, I wish I'd had time to do more. It's not an excuse. It's not being defensive. It's just a reality. Cheers.
-
The point is your readers don't put out the news, you do. So these are your priorities. This is what yhe govt is doing in our name, as our reprensentatives. Would have thought this was of substantial interest to all readers.
-
No, they are not my priorities, although I have to triage obviously. Most of what I covered last week was the energy debate, which
@GuardianAus are (correctly IMO) very interested in. We know this because we know what people read. This isn't arbitrary. -
Alright, lets agree to disagree. But I read your articles and this would have been of great interest to me and no one asked me what I read. If that's what you lead with, that is what people will read. Reporting the news, not making it.

I think they're all too busy fretting over the Fall of Western Civilisation

Wall to wall "Captain's call" and "backflip" kill Bill articles instead. What a surprise.

And
@InsidersABC full line up tomorrow of Lib lovers Coorey, Savva & Crowe for heaven's sake to gloat over BillShorten/blunder/Albo etc - expect no mention of Timor L'Este. ABC is a joke these days. And Labor's the only party promising to defend their existence. -
I think you will find the greens also defend the ABC and support it unflinchingly

Why hasn’t anyone mentioned that this Government is led by a lawyer who made his name defending in the Spycatcher case? Not exactly whistleblowing, but very similar optics -
@TurnbullMalcolm in another era entirely -
Saw one article about Spycatcher irony - possibly Crikey.

We need to keep prosecuting this shameful act by government and apparently supported by opposition. But who?

what's that sound? silence? the sound of the freedom of speech crowd saying nothing? Their hypocrisy is only exceeded by their flatulence.

What is most concerning is how few people even know that this is happening.

Very worrying, and little from the 'opposition'.
