    Bernard Keane Retweeted Barnaby Joyce

The Abbott government, with you as a senior member, rejected the ALRC recommendation of a tort of privacy in 2014. Did you speak out then? Or did you only discover privacy when your own was under threat?https://twitter.com/Barnaby_Joyce/status/1005619742286045185 …

Got an answer to that @Barnaby_Joyce ? No. One rule for us, another for those who mistake their toxic greed and selfishness for a gut feeling that they’re somehow born-to-rule.

Remember meta data laws? Or the new health records that can be viewed by almost anyone without a warrant?? Yes we should care about privacy, but the LNP Gov has done lots of things to remove our rights in this area. (So he can’t now suddenly care about privacy). #Barnaby #LNP

How much of the despot attitude of Abbott Govt did Joyce enable. This showboat collarup flea amongst true hardworking agricultural workers wants the same respect that generations of hard blood sweat and tears has earned. He is not the banner bearer of desperate rural communities

If this was the purpose, then I expect the money was donated to a charity? Perhaps one that seeks to protect privacy? Maybe The Tabbot Foundation or Marie Stopes Australia?

Just remember when you are a public figure, someone will be noting your comments and will be waiting for inconsistency. So your past comments and actions and your advocacy against exclusion zones Barnaby will come back to haunt you.

ALRC wanted to prevent intrusion upon seclusion, where a person has an expectation of privacy. Eg. flying a drone to film me in my undies in my backyard. Not filming me on a public street. Even the man in the car would have no cause of action for having his image all over twitter
