What’s great is the media aggressively supports young people speaking out about both issues....oh, wait....

Link the two issues together...ban them both. By the way, more laws isn’t the answer...we don’t follow the ones we have now. It would just be interesting to hear a lawmaker bring it up...”you want more restrictions on guns, only with similar restrictions on abortion”

Bernie a 9mm pistol has a bullet muzzle velocity of 1200fps it produces a wound in the liver of 1-2in AR15 has bullet muzzle velocity of 3251 fps it literally Pulverizes the liver. Something for gun folks to think about. Vietnam Vet Army Ranger John

Bernie, Bernie...40y ago when I came to USA you could go to any military surplus store and buy legally a cannon, tank, any weapon! You can tell your Bullshit to millenials who are stupid enough since they don’t know...

That’s sad if you think they are the same.

He's comparing how unwavering people are on these issues, not the issues themselves.

So someone should sponsor a bill that bans assault rifles and late term abortions. Compromise...

I don't expect to change anyone's mind on abortion, I can only keep emphasizing that it's murder and hope eventually some of them will see the light; change comes from within.

I get the point. But conflating the two issues in this fashion suggests an end to reasonable discourse. The problem is a lack of knowledge and understanding of what is happening to our human condition.

I see your point. However, not ever AR-15 murders a baby

Bernie, it’s not about wanting to keep the AR15 legal. It’s about being knowledgeable enough to know it’s far from the most dangerous weapon that needs to be banned. The public are mislead and ignorant. We need to educate ourselves on a topic we want to passionately debate.
-
Rich. 9mm pistol has bullet muzzle velocity of 1200fps it produces a wound to the liver of 1 - 2 in. AR-15 bullet muzzle velocity is 3251 fps it literally Pulverizes the liver. If a hunter needs a 20 round mag to take Bambi he should switch to Tiddlywinks. Vietnam Combat Vet John
-
Thank you for your service first and foremost. The AR 15 is illegal for hunting in some states because it’s not considered a one shot kill. It’s considered inhumane to use. My point is that there are far more powerful and concealable weapons than the AR15.
-
TY I appreciate that. My point was that having seen what the M16 can do ( w devastating results )an AR-15, the civilian version, does terrible damage in the wrong hands. Re your ' one shot one kill' comment, you obviously didn't see combat in Vietnam as an infantryman John
-
I have not seen combat and don’t doubt that it’s awful beyond my imagination. A .223 is not a 5.56 or any caliber larger. It IS illegal to use an AR15 for hunting in some states. My point was that banning the AR15 would do nothing to stop the mass murders.
-
Rich. Can u explain to me why a hunter needs a 20 round magazine to drop Bambi? John
-
He doesn’t... or else he should choose a different hobby. My point is that certain states have determined that this particular weapon isn’t “humane” to hunt with because it would take more than a round to kill it.
