Christians went many election cycles waiting for a good God-fearing candidate. Once they realized none would ever become a candidate in today's world, they decided to elect someone to just save our country. Dems were squarely against and even openly & regularly ridicules them.

People who slam Bill Clinton for his immoral conduct, but turn a blind eye to Trump's, are hypocrites. 'Lesser of two evils' is a good voting argument, but not a case for condoning Trump's moral indecencies...which is still happening.
-
Who is actually condoning it? I don't think anyone is happy about it. Much like many of the tweets. Generally not happy about them, but what do you do, not vote?
-
There were two candidates at the time - I voted for who I thought was best for our country. There's so many false allegations made against every candidate, unless convicted, we've really no way of knowing. Trump has had no past conviction & accusing is just not enough.
-
Again, this is not about the election. You can vote for a creep because he's the lesser of two evils, but giving him a pass on (or defending) conduct you wouldn't tolerate from the other side is hypocrisy.https://bernardgoldberg.com/tony-perkins-trump-gets-a-mulligan-on-moral-failings/ …

We had 2 clear choices. One would be elected president. Is it your argument that we should have just stayed home or is it that we should have voted for Hillary instead?
-
Vote for someone that can morally lead this country; even if third party.
-
Like I said, there were "2 clear choices". Johnson and Stein, to me, sounded a "bit" whacko. Besides a vote for them was a vote for Hillary.

Evangelicals don't see Trump as the embodiment of Christian values but as a protector of their right to live by them. He never seems hostile towards Christianity and Christian principles. Sure, he may not live them or believe them himself, but he comes across as live-and-let-live

1-Evangelicals wouldn’t support a liberal who spoke that way because that person is a liberal, not because the words are any better or worse. One looks to infringe on religious rights and the other doesn’t. Also, because they are adults who know they are voting for president and-

A familiar refrain which started with JFK then fast-forwarded to Bill Clinton. Realistically speaking there’s no modern politician who isn’t riding dirty.

You could have stopped at “Evangelicals would never support a liberal presidential candidate.” Period, full stop!

Yes Bernie, patriots have become desperate & are refusing to give up a
#MAGA agenda because the 1 candidate who embraced it has a flawed personal life. We knew who@realDonaldTrump was when he came down the escalator in 6/15. We said, “The hell with it. Everyone else sucks.” -
No there were several good candidates like Cruz, Rubio, Jindale etc.
-
Ok. And most Republicans obviously didn’t see it that way.
-
Sand they were wrong. We are borrowing $1T this year. Real conservative!
-
I guess should have convinced people that that was more important than amnesty and open borders. They sucked and they got run over by a crude outsider. No amount of whipped cream you pile on is going to make that taste better.

We’ve been electing cut & paste Republicans over and over. How’s that smaller government coming? Think outside the box. You’ll still be yammering about smaller government in ten years (as it continues to balloon) no matter which of your empty suits would have won.
