SCOTUS-ruling is NOT NARROW. The ruling, using Colorado as an example, applies to ALL Civil Rights Commissions (+any other such committees etc.): Do not be hostile or unfair and respect any business owner's religious freedom and conscience.

Hey Bernie, very stupid article. How about civility and courtesy? How about LGBT hiring a different baker. Americans will not abide LGBT attempts to coerce Religious Americans to give up their 1st Amendment Rights. Wise up!!

Very interesting article! The SC will have to deal with this issue. In this case, it punted! The types of cases where religion and/or the 1st Amend intersect are endless. There is a current case in Indiana Re a fired teacher and transgender students.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/06/08/indiana-high-school-teacher-claims-was-forced-to-resign-because-transgender-policy.html …

Work out your conflicted beliefs in private. This Christian baker is certain of his beliefs and lives his faith. He wouldn’t make a cake for a Nazi or even for a Halloween party. Obviously you just don’t get it.

Kind of the same thing to refuse service to a cop or a trump supporter because of their political beliefs. Those things seem to be acceptable now days, even trendy to the dems.

He’s an artist and given his religious stance , he chose not to you his craft to create something that was , in his view, immoral . What about his first amendment right ? Doesn’t that come into play ?

Huge BG fan here but don't follow your reasoning on this. Why is it OK to force him to bake the cake but not to deliver/serve it? Isn't that usually part of the deal? And how can a photographer not be at the wedding? Drawing the line here makes no sense.

Would Jesus refuse to bake a cake for a sinner? He hung out with prostitutes, sinners and tax collectors.

Agree, SCOTUS will meet head on at some point … Cake for thought: does any baker have to bake a cake w/ child porno for a pedophile? does the Muslim baker have to apply image of Allah eating bacon? does the Jewish baker have to put swastika on a cake?

Logical consistency would require that they do but legally, you get into the "protected class" stuff which is mucking everything up. It's the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about; the "special rights" that many have warned about for years.

SCOTUS did NOT grant him the right to refuse to bake a cake for gay/lesbian cpls. They ruled the decision by the Colorado Civil Rights Division unfairly adjudicated his case. Get the facts straight. I agree with you politically and on how horrible the media has become.
