    Part of Bernie's broader practice of talking like a normal person. I genuinely think it's one of his general-election advantages that goes a significant way to offset the disadvantage of being far from the median voter.

    Lot of details here on Bernie’s big investment in outreach to Latinos in Iowa. Campaign notably employs leadership with working class Mexican American roots and eschews the term “Latinx,” which they say isn’t used by the community

    Bernie Sanders is not similar to FDR. FDR consistently recognized the importance of the private sector, and, for better or worse, based a lot of the New Deal programs (the NRA, the AAA, the NLRA) around private business.

    Sanders and Warren are both competing for the FDR mantle. “Senator Sanders is the fulfillment of the FDR legacy,” says Bernie endorser Ro Khanna. “She is the FDR I'm looking for — to make big structural change,” says Liz backer Andy Levin.
