Because this would make sense. I actually have busted my ass to build my channel but this new threshold is only discouraging me. Seriously considering a move to DailyMotion if @YouTube doesn't fix this.
@TeamYouTube why don’t y’all keep people who are already a partner STAY partnered? youtube has already reviewed our channels and content when we met the 10k views requirement. why not just implement this to people who haven’t been reviewed?

Unfortunately, with only 10k views to go on, we still saw some bad content slip under the radar and monetize. This update strengthens our requirements and gives us more info on channels that are trying to get around our safeguards and abuse the system.

We know some good channels get caught up in the mix and will continue to update Creator Academy with more resources that help smaller channels grow.
