Not all data is created equal. Great analysis can’t account for inaccuracy or bias in the data. Garbage in, garbage out.

Likes and retweets are numbers, i.e. data, too. Just have to be viewed in a specific context (and are liable for errors and fraud) just like any other data... but sure, sales numbers > likes
