Cuba’s misery is its own making. Bali, an island 1/20th the size of Cuba in a poor nation, could cut all U.S. trade tomorrow and still thrive for 60 yrs. Cuba has been able to trade with Russia, China, Europe, Canada and all of S. America…the Castro brothers own this disaster.
Despite being 1/20th the size of Cuba, Bali’s GNP is one third that of Cuba. It is tourism, not trade with the U.S., that drives it.
