Would this hold for all social media or ad platforms? Twitter, LinkedIn, Amazon (to a certain extent), etc? I wonder how we build consensus towards that view, if so.

We have one tech leader who actually gets what's going on and has a sense of social responsibility. Good to see
@benioff give voice to what many are thinking and saying about social media. Bravo! Here's a thread on topic:https://twitter.com/fmbutt/status/1184209144326316033?s=20 …

Being strategic means seeing around corners.
@Benioff is very strategic: a tech leader who's not going to be shocked at what's coming down the pike. - Näytä vastaukset

Would you consider platforms like Yammer and Chatter in the same category? And should the same onus apply then to Microsoft and Salesforce?
-
Yammer, really?? Not trying to be a dick- but Why is that where you are taking the conversation? Yammer is orders of magnitude less impactful than FB. FB is a monopoly that is destroying the fabric of society- why do you want to focus the conversation on semantics.

Ooof. I mean, I hate Facebook and think a lot of their recent decisions on ad content are unsupportable. But making them a publisher means they're liable for every comment someone puts up. It's not feasible at that scale.

I think that might be the point.
