We've made updates to the YouTube Partner Program to strengthen our community & prevent impersonators + spammers from harming our platform. We understand this affects many channels, but believe it's necessary to protect our creators. For the full updatehttps://goo.gl/T1pvG3

That's a superb point. I've been on the platform since 2006! It's not there as a career for me. Just a hobby. I'm proud of getting to 158 subs and over 133k views. Half of them in the last 12 months! No strikes against my account! The money just helps improve the channel!

Exactly. My channel is always a hobby, but I'm driven to make it more one day. Like I said in my latest video, Youtube are losing people's trust more and more.

I mean, I get it. It's to stop spammers. But with all the "you follow me I'll follow you" stuff out there I feel they'll reach 1000 in no time. While we suffer at the bottom again.

Also, this will just encourage creators to be all, "Follow me, I'll follow back" then unsub at a later date when they've cheated their way up.
I know someone who purchases fake views and subscribers but @TeamYouTube haven't taken it down despite reports.
