Addicts have to choose to help themselves. You cannot heal an addict, they work their entire lives to stay clean. They are incels because they refuse to accept responsibility for why they are rejected. Sad men don’t hurt people, bitter men do. Grudges do.

No, sadness doesn’t turn to bitterness without selfishness. Incel nature is about generalizing, not putting onus on the individual. They cannot be helped without first accepting help. By accepting help, they are no longer a threat, or accepted by their peers.

You have to get to the bottom of the real issue for each individual. They aren’t a group that shares common characteristics. Many groups revile women. Each member or self proclaimed incel has a different reason, some poverty, some disability, some race, some parenting,

They never actually accept one another, seeing all males as competition, but that doesn’t stop them from feeling vindicated that some unexperienced childlike boys think the way they do.

One kid will be told it’s hopeless enough times, will remember the suggestions from his peers, and go “ER” on some innocent people. The rest will be forced by life to get outside and experience more, which is literally enough to destroy any credibility their incel lord has.

Nothing you said negates my point. Part of being incel is believing no one can/will help. To be an adult male virgin in our society even if one does not identify as incel is to be an object of ridicule. What do we stand to lose by reaching out in compassion & offering help?

Are you under the mistaken impression that I am incel? What led you to that conclusion? And secondly, I make no excuses whatsoever for behavior. I'm trying to help a community of people wrapped up in their own anger and pain in order to prevent tragedies like this from recurring.

I don’t use that label to classify people. I’ll be more careful with my pronouns. Furthermore, why do you care if I think you’re an incel or not? You are contributing to the stigma. It has nothing to do with how I value your contribution to this conversation.

I don't particularly mind being mislabeled incel. I very much mind being mislabeled a misogynist or a pedophile. But as you said, nothing that can't be avoided with a little more care with pronouns.
