I ask because, in my view, there is basically no moral difference between that and forbidding women from having abortions.

Let's say your mother was dying of liver failure and only one person in the world was a match and they said no.

Is it moral for him to say no? I say that's overshadowed by the issue of, is it moral to force him down and take his liver against his will?

That, in a nutshell, is pro-choice. It's not that we love abortion, it's that asking whether abortion is moral is the wrong question.

You can't even get to that question without first answering, is it moral to deprive someone of agency over their own body, and if so when?

If you can't provide a logically consistent answer to that, then the question of whether a fetus has a right to life is a moot point.
