I've been playing foils since 7th edition and never had an issue with partially foiled decks. Foils are the best thing to happen to Magic to me.

I mean yea that's the price you pay to use foils, but there's a decent amount of people who like using their foils. Just because that's the cost to play them doesn't mean they should eschew them as a whole. I know myself and
@A22en enjoy playing foils in competitive events. -
Oh also
@_imnotrussell is also a boy who enjoys to drip out with foils

Counterpoint: I love foils, and have played multiple Pro Tours with partially foiled decks. You just have to make sure they aren’t marked, which does take due diligence.
-
You are sort of at the mercy of whether the judge agrees that they aren't marked, though.

Foils are notorious for curling and when it gets bad enough it’s possible to see the curl when cards are single sleeved and therefore they’re considered marked cards if they’re distinguishable from the rest of the deck

100% agree. Also foils get warped surprising easily, I wish there were more cool alt art non-foils.

It certainly seems like that’s the way we’re going with the success of the collector boosters.
