This is all bull and you know it. Platitudes from Platt who is reaping from the work of women. Pathetic Platt.

No, what’s pathetic is getting butthurt over casting of a movie that’s based largely on fiction. They can still do the real story, so find something else to harp on.
-
Getting upset at my opinion is peak pathetic
-
Don’t have stupid opinions. You attacked this guy w/out having the facts. You were wrong, be an adult and own up to it.
-
Lmaoooo how am I wrong? You are a waste of time bye
-
Bc it’s a fictional anthology movie. It doesn’t preclude them from telling the autobiographical story. It’s like saying you couldn’t make the movie “Dick” bc “All the Presidents Men” was already made.
-
I’m producing the story of America’s founding but all the leaders are women played by women. I’ve crafted the perfect role for you: bathroom attendant who is beaten for trying to split shits for a tip
-
That’s fine, it’s fictional just like this movie.

I applaud you
@BenSPLATT for caring enough to clarify... and so kindly which really shows the depth of your character... at the end of the day you can be the ripest juciest peach in the world .. there will always be someone who doesn’t like peaches..so if you like it I love it!
-
To even make this movie is ridiculous. Lost all respect for any actor being involved with anything Rob Ford.
-
Yeah, the minute u turn down a Hollywood paycheck let us know. Until then, mind your own business.
-
Well, hollywood isn't sending me any checks. but if you're best argument is "But money!" then you're saying that all morals are conditional based on what personally benefits you. which means you don't have morals.
-
My best argument is it’s dumb to get upset bc it’ doesn’t keep a movie about the real story from being made. It’s FICTION. That’s like saying they couldn’t make the movie “Frost Nixon” bc “Dick”’was out 10 yrs earlier.
-
"doesn't prevent an accurate story" isn't the problem "is an inaccurate story" is the problem. And for the record, "It's fiction" is, of the blatant excuses, a lazy one. "I can make whatever creative decisions I want but don't you dare criticize them, like you do with all art!"

Studio should have paid for rights to actual story. Instead, cheap knockoff does disservice to what actually happened. It's your project now, so live with it.
-
Someone actually acquired the rights to Robyn’s book in 2014 is 2018 and it seems like they decided to do little with it
not Ben’s issue. -
He took the role. It’s his. You may not care, but that doesn’t make it untrue.
-
You deserve to be slapped up
-
I have no idea what that means and that’s probably because, it doesn’t make sense. You can’t force people to tell someone else’s story, if it means that much to you why don’t you reach out to Robyn and make the movie you believe should be seen?
-
Not forcing anyone to do anything. Criticizing the decision. Chill.
