Humanity possesses a distinct disconnect from all other existence, and this disconnect is the ability to live within an invented mental space called "reality" instead of *JUST* existence. All other life are enslaved to systems of sensual chains they are forced to live under.
If I'm thinking about this right, I reckon that this 'reality' can easily become a new chain. It also has the downside of distancing us from the other reality, the natural world, especially as our immediate surrounds become more artificial

I think reality is COMPLETELY human, as in humans are the ONLY things that exist in reality. Everything else is Existence. Reality is how we understand existence. We communicate, we share realities, our realities have things in common... we think we "all exist in reality"

Clarification aside, I agree with you though, I think focusing on the 'reality' in your original thinking is essential tech/western advancement. I think it does compete with the other 'reality' of the natural world. I think the challenge is finding a way to blend the two....
