I don't think, but I could be wrong, that current kids will have as radical a tech overhaul as we experienced with the advent of cellphones becoming smartphones, vhs becoming dvds becoming streams. We're the last to remember the analog tech that lead to the cloud.

The future is uncertain but the jump from smartphones in your pocket to smartphones strapped to your face might be an even bigger leap than no smartphones to smartphones. opt-in head in the cloud vs. opt-out, changes "sense ratios" there are yet many ways to mediate reality

Sure- but I feel as if VR is overhyped compared to how many problems it has yet to solve. Right now it's not replacing anything in a substantial way, & ppo who have it are rare & use it as a novelty generally.

VR will never go anywhere, it's garbage and always will be. AR, on the other hand, the ability to project graphics over the real world, will go many places
