If it's not a thing already, offline downloads on Premium should count towards some form of extra compensation for independent creators on the platform!

The idea that someone is compelled to go the length of downloading your work feels like it merits extra compensation in some way to me. Something similar can/should be asked of streaming services, having downloads count towards some sort of compensation for creator & personnel.

This idea could also make for some sort of guaranteed compensation in spaces like podcasting, where downloads are favored (and quantified in places like Apple Podcasts' charts). So basically it's an idea that any streaming service could utilize haha

I mean... shared downloads are already the case for platforms that allow it. I just don’t think the extra effort warrants a value difference - it’s a deficiency of the platform that it doesn’t allow automatic downloads if anything.
