Do u know or have any idea of the date he was killed? We say Kaddish for victims of the Shoah in my synagogue and I would like to add him to the list.
This is David Berger, he was 19 years old when he was murdered by the Nazis in Vilnius in 1941. In a last letter to his girlfriend he said: ‘I would want there to be somebody who would remember that someone named D. Berger had once lived.’ We remember you, David.pic.twitter.com/8QMV43S5c6

Sadly just that he was shot in Vilnius in 1941. The postcard was written on 2nd March of that year so obviously after that.

I have seen many sad things about the Holocaust, this one has particularly got to me, wanting to be remembered that he once lived and wasn't just another annonymous victim of the evilness of the Nazis. RIP David
