This wasn’t even remotely a controversial take when we said the same things about Jihadist terrorists for years. We said conditions of the susceptible were an issue but the real problem was radical ideology & we DEMANDED people call that out instead of blaming systemic forces.

I think this is a great point. I've been telling my friends for years that "some people will believe anything." And I'm not being hyperbolic. Brainwashing is one of the many tools for getting someone to change their views or beliefs. That's by force, but disinfo/misinfo can too.

I think there are certainly issues related to father figures in the lives of young men. But highlighting the conditions that helped create a victim mentality in these guys is a distraction from the real problem which is the radicals that use that to indoctrinate them.

What even is “cultural over-feminization”? We refer to all humans as “mankind”. Male is our default setting for everything. Walsh is so insecure in his own manliness that any feminization feels like “over feminization.”
