    Reader revenue is the jam, unless your outlet serves low-income communities. For years, I’ve struggled to find revenue strategies that will support 's model & equity-focused mission. But as some wise person once said, “what stands in the way becomes the way.”

    When your value prop as a news org is about insight, context, and community instead of immediacy/frequency, summer breaks (upstate?) can be a thing. More news publishers on the brink of burnout should consider it, especially after the year it's been.
