Infinity War... tldr I’m checking out of Marvel bar their more one off, less franchises-y movies. Prob a must watch for fans, otherwise no, imo.

I felt like it did justice. I love they kept Thor more light hearted after the opening scene. Also I will see any movie Tom Holland is. He steals every scene, especially the ending...god damn.

Disagree - zero stakes as the movie ended just over half way through with Dr Stranges plan. Broad problem where MCU has near zero consequences. Compounded in this having ‘1/2’ problems.

A good movie :p This felt like a ponderous collection of scenes and side quests. Poorly strictured. Data rate of twitter convos is a bit slow to type it all out tbh. But yeah, felt like it could have been so much more interesting than it was.

Alright perhaps this has merit - felt like the first half of 3 movies was happening in parallel, and most of them were duds because it didn’t commit to any.

Useful context is me liking the mire focused marvel movies ( Ragnarok (minus Helya stuff), Homecoming, Winter Soldier, Dr Strange). Typically the more generic marvel, the less I enjoy. Panther is a great example - dabbles in interesting ideas, ultimately commits to being generic

Ragnarock was weak when Asgard was the focus, but I appreciated how dark it’s undertones were. Thor really benefited from that in Infinity War. Fav scene of IW is probably the opening.
